After a good period of colder weather the ice on Lake Minnetonka finally safe. Crappies, Sunnies and Northerns are biting well. The Walleyes are being caught but not as well as other fish. See ya on the water!
With the warmer weather and rain the ice has not been as safe as it should be. There are just a few permanent houses out on Lake Minnetonka. The ice fishing has mostly been in portable houses. Sunnies, Crappies and Northerns have been biting good. Walleyes are being caught but, not as well as other fish. It is January in Minnesota. It is suppose to be very cold. What is going on.
Ice Fishin on Lake Minnetonka has begun for some crazy people on the smaller bays. I still see plenty of open water out there. I will wait for Mother Nature to do her thing. With these temps it shouldn’t be much longer!
